"...Ens is Latin for existence. It's the present participle of the verb esse, to be. The clue should read "something which has existence (Lat)". It would have been fairer for Angela to mention this as it isn't a common Latin phrase like id est, rara avis, pro rata, vice versa, quid pro quo or bona fide and the list could go on... But good puzzle...."
