"...19d "Loped" is the past tense of of running, generally with a horse, it has nothing to do nothing to do with the concept of being "bounded". Where do we come up with these clues/answers? ..."

"...Not a bad puzzle. To lope is to move or run with bounding steps as a horse, while bound is the past tense of to bind which means to tie. To bound also means to move by leaps = The colt bounded (or loped) through the meadow. So, in fact, bounded (in this second definition) and loped are not as far apart as moldycheese thought. :-))) ..."
